What services do you offer? We offer legal assistance in commercial law and dispute resolution for businesses. We also assist consumers with various disputes including property, building, employment, estates and consumer matters.
-
How are your fees structured? We believe in transparent and fair fee structures. Whilst we do not offer no win no fee or deferred fees, where possible, we fix our fees so that you can plan with confidence and avoid unexpected costs.
-
Do I need to travel to your office to get advice? How often will I meet with my advisor? The modern technology allows us to efficiently communicate via telephone and video conferencing and email. On occasions when we need to have documents executed by you, we can arrange meetings in our office or closer to your location within Moreton Bay. The frequency of meetings will depend on your individual needs and preferences.
-
Can I contact my advisor outside of scheduled meetings?Yes, you can reach out via telephone or email at any time outside of scheduled meetings. We are here to support you and answer any questions you may have.
-
Do I really need a lawyer or can I do this myself? You have the right to represent yourself in courts or tribunals. If you understand and can apply with confidence the relevant laws and the Australian legal system and procedure rules applicable in your jurisdiction, you should be able to run your own case. If you chose to represent yourself, we can provide you with guidance and advice on various aspects of your matter on a limited retainer. However, law is complicated, and you are likely to be disadvantaged in the proceeding especially if the other party is legally represented.

Will I need a barrister to represent me?We specialise in litigation, which means that we usually handle all court work for you without the need to retain a barrister. However, if your matter involves complex legal issues, the other side retains a barrister or the volume of work is extensive, we may recommend that a barrister is retained to better manage your case. We still prepare all documentation and administer your file, and the barrister works with us as an expert advocate to present your case to the court in the strongest and most persuasive way possible.
